Torrential rain and severe storms have led to rising water levels and widespread flooding across the Balkan <\/a><\/strong>region. In Montenegro<\/a><\/strong>, entire villages have been cut off due to the floods, with water invading homes and sweeping away property, livestock, and firewood. Streets in many areas are submerged, forcing vehicles to navigate through flooded roads. A red weather alert has been issued due to forecasted strong winds exceeding 90 km\/h and heavy rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A powerful storm swept through the Istria region of Croatia last night, while the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the most dire at the moment. The Jablanica and Konjic areas have been hit by a severe natural disaster, with unofficial reports indicating that at least twenty people have lost their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Montenegro, homes in \u017dabljak have been flooded<\/a><\/strong>, and access to the village of Komarnica has been cut off, with water carrying away buildings. Traffic has been halted in parts of the Danilovgrad municipality, on the Frutka and Brestica bridges, and on the Podanje-Klikova\u010de road, according to RTCG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hydro-Meteorological Institute has issued a red weather alert due to the anticipated strong winds and heavy rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The municipality of Danilovgrad has informed residents that, due to severe weather conditions and heavy rainfall, traffic has been suspended for all vehicles on the Frutka and Brestica bridges and on the Podanje-Klikova\u010de road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Hydro-Meteorological Institute, today, continental and mountainous areas, as well as the central region and the coast, are expected to experience wind gusts exceeding 90 kilometers per hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As announced, frequent moderate to heavy rain or showers with thunderstorms are expected in the eastern and northeastern parts of Montenegro in the morning and possibly in the afternoon, accompanied by heavy rainfall and strong, gusty southerly winds. Later in the day and throughout the night, partial clearing is expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Directorate for Protection and Rescue of the Ministry of the Interior has appealed to citizens to follow official announcements and take protective measures to minimize the potential consequences of these weather adversities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A powerful storm, accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds, swept through the Istria region of Croatia last night, with 125 liters of rain per square meter falling in the south. River levels are rising across Croatia due to days of heavy rain, and flood emergency measures have been declared on the Kupa River. A red alert is in effect in half of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently the most critical. The northern part of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton has been cut off due to severe weather and flooding, and according to information received by the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 20 people have died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
