A Serbian <\/a><\/strong>citizen was injured in a shooting that occurred at a company in Jordan when a fired employee opened fire with a Kalashnikov<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported by “New Arab”, the company director, a British citizen, was killed in the attack, while in addition to the Serbian citizen, another Jordanian was injured. The suspected attacker, the fired employee, has been arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack took place on Monday at a factory in Aqaba. According to local reports, the Briton was a manager at the company and was attacked by a masked man who entered the factory and opened fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The injured Serbian citizen and Jordanian, whose identities have not been released, were taken to the hospital. The Public Security Directorate announced that the suspect was arrested after a 24-hour manhunt, and the attack was allegedly triggered by the employee’s dismissal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A video circulating online shows a masked man entering the factory and shooting three people with a Kalashnikov. The Aqaba Special Economic Zone, where the incident reportedly took place, is a free zone that is a center for various industries, including the chemical industry and logistics, where workers are reportedly facing difficult working conditions. A report released earlier this year stated that a total of 173 labor lawsuits were filed in the first six months of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
