Nebojša Milošević is still today halfway between Kragujevac and Trstenik. One might say it is no wonder, then, that he spent his short working life partly at Zastava and partly at Prva Petoletka. Without him, there would have been no Fića, no Yugo 45 or 55, nor the Florida. He saved Zastava billions of dinars, and because of improvements to the tank engine (the turbo engine), which we are still proud of today, he believes he was declared a technological surplus.
With 27 years of service in three factories – Zastava, Prva Petoletka, and Saponija – he was declared a technological surplus and spent 20 years at the unemployment office without compensation. From 1993 until 2013, he was registered as unemployed, without health insurance and, as he says, without a single “yellow banknote.”
“When the Tool Shop – when the staged bankruptcy of the Tool Shop happened in 1998, I submitted a request to the Commercial Court in Kraljevo stating that I had authors’ rights in that company, that the company had not compensated me for my authors’ rights… Everything was resolved, only my case remained unresolved – without any comments,” Milošević states. “At that time, spare parts for the Florida and the Yugo, which I designed, were still being sold, the state was still collecting sales tax, and I did not receive – a single dinar,” he added.
This Šumadija genius, whose intelligence quotient is 203, lives on less than 25,000 dinars of his own income and about 18,000 dinars of Mira’s pension, and knows that even today he could not have done anything differently.
Without what he devised, there would be no German retarder on German trucks. Asked whether someone profited from his inventions, he says: “More than that – entire companies.”
This genius also devised a machine for collecting pollen and built a prototype…
He is now working on a machine that can use ambient energy – the energy of plants, water, the sun, everything from the surroundings – even from great distances. And to transmit it over long distances as well, he adds. Milošević says that this is the icing on the cake of his inventions. With the help of this device, he has so far, as he says, found more than a thousand locations where water was discovered.
