After his first-round victory at the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic congratulated Serbs on Epiphany and expressed a wish that will delight all Serbs.
The Serbian tennis player deeply believes in symbolism and is happy that he started this tournament precisely on the holiday.
“Glory to God… God has appeared. It is a great holiday, you can always feel the special nature of that day, somehow throughout my career and life I have taken symbolism seriously, I think everything happens for a reason. It is no coincidence that the water polo players defeated their greatest rivals, the Hungarians, on that very day,” Djokovic said.
He did not forget the handball players either and wished them great things.
“Good luck to the handball players as well, congratulations on the great victory over Germany! I’m following it, I’m very happy. Water polo has been the most decorated sport for several decades, but in handball we are now returning in a big way, we waited a long time for such a success, we defeated a great nation. I’m following both teams, and with God’s help may we all triumph to the end,” the Serbian ace said.
