Ginter Fehlinger said that Europe would seize every American military base if the United States annexes Greenland.
Ginter Fehlinger, an Austrian activist and president of the NATO Enlargement Committee, issued a sharp warning to the United States over plans to take over Greenland, threatening the complete expulsion of the U.S. military from the European continent.
In a video message that spread across social networks, Fehlinger said that if the United States annexes Greenland, Europe will seize every American military base.
Fehlinger’s statement, published last week, was a response to a post by Katie Miller, the wife of Stephen Miller, a key adviser to Donald Trump, who hosts a podcast and supports his MAGA movement. Miller posted an image of Greenland covered with the American flag along with the message “Soon.”

"If you take it, we will take every single [US] base from Aviano to Ramstein, from Romania to all the other military bases, will be confiscated and you will lost it."

“If you take it, we will take every American base from Aviano to Ramstein. All your military bases in Europe will be seized, and you will lose them and the entire position of American power since World War II. If you take Greenland, you must leave,” Fehlinger said.
Addressing Katie Miller directly, he explained what he called Europe’s negotiating power.
“It is very simple, Mrs. Miller, this is the leverage we have. You need spaces for the global projection of power; you will not have them,” Fehlinger said.
“And we can defend ourselves very well, and we will do so without the American nuclear shield, without American forces in Europe, without American bases. We will simply manage the spaces ourselves, and we will send your guys home to Chicago and Ohio. And goodbye,” he added, concluding with a warning: “You go extreme, and we go extreme. Be sure of that.”

Who is Ginter Fehlinger?
Fehlinger presents himself as the president of the “Austrian Committee for NATO Enlargement,” an organization that advocates the membership of several countries in the military alliance, including Austria. However, that organization is not part of NATO, nor is it recognized by the North Atlantic Alliance itself; it is an independent non-governmental association, or a lobbying initiative.
Additionally, users on social networks in Serbia know him as a major critic of Serbia, the Serbian people, and a supporter of the independence of the so-called Kosovo.
These statements came after President Trump’s administration confirmed that it is exploring ways to take over Greenland, with the White House officially confirming on Tuesday that the use of the military is “always an option.”
“President Trump has made it clear that taking over Greenland is a national security priority of the United States and is key to deterring our adversaries in the Arctic region. The President and his team are discussing a range of options to achieve this important foreign policy goal, and of course, the use of the U.S. military is always an option available to the commander-in-chief,” the White House said.
