Transporter Milomir Jaćimović, who earlier announced that he would come to Belgrade this coming weekend and block the capital, told FoNet today that he is not giving up the fight, but that the action is being postponed because his son has fallen ill and he must take care of him in the coming days.

Jaćimović states that his sixteen-year-old son felt unwell last night and ended up in the Emergency Room because of it, stressing that his child is the most important thing to him.

“I brought him home, we can’t get his fever down, his stomach hurts, everything is inflamed. Until my child gets out of bed, nothing else interests me, even if the whole world were burning,” Jaćimović said.

He expects that his son will feel better in the coming days.

“We were on the street for a long time, all of that took its toll. Until my child recovers, I can neither do anything else nor go anywhere,” said Jaćimović, who protested together with his son in front of the Banovina building in Novi Sad.

He demanded that his confiscated buses be returned to him and that the astronomical fines issued to him over the past months, when he was transporting students to protests across Serbia, be halted.

Jaćimović went on a hunger strike for nine days, and for some time his son joined him. After ending the hunger strike, he announced that he was giving the authorities a deadline until Friday to fulfill his demands, after which he would come to Belgrade and organize a blockade of the capital.
