The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, stated this morning that in today’s world there is no society that is not divided. It is no different in America, he pointed out, reminding that 24,000 illegal, i.e., unannounced gatherings were organized in Serbia.

He mentioned, as a guest on Blic TV, that this is also the case in Serbia, because of which our country has lost a lot, especially when it comes to color revolutions.

Speaking about the student Bogdan Jovičić who was arrested and for whom protests were organized again, Vučić said that no one will say that he was arrested because he brutally destroyed other people’s property, “so thoroughly, in detail, being proud of it”.

“He carried the coat rack with which he destroyed other people’s property with pride around the city,” said Vučić.

“Every citizen should condemn that move. I have the impression that a part of the people, even your television, is trying to make heroes out of such people. And then you said that citizens gathered in protest because such a hooligan was arrested. One would say that there were millions of citizens, and in the whole of Serbia, only 3,150 gathered,” the president pointed out.

“You talk about a divided society, how divided the opposition will be, because there are different political interests at stake,” said Vučić.

According to him, the problem is that some people thought they could change the government with violence, they thought they had money from abroad, and these are, as he says, incredible sums entering our country.

“Just look at how much money they have invested in food alone,” he pointed out.

When asked if the state services are checking this, Vučić replied that they are, but that when it is published, it is said “this is an attack on non-governmental organizations”, “different opinion”…

“Someone thought they could change the government violently”

The president points out that people interpret things individually, and do not look at them as a whole.

“When you talk about a divided society, do you know how the opposition scene will be divided? They will go to the elections with 5 or 10 lists, not with one. There are different political interests. The problem here is that some people thought they could come to power through violence. They have a lot of money. The money is coming, these are incredible sums that are coming. When you look at just how much has been spent on food, not to mention how much the daily wages for bikers and others are,” said the president.

He pointed out that they gathered 24,000 times in a criminal, illegal way – which is not in accordance with any laws.

“Recently Ana went to Brussels, and no one there ever told them, she was shocked, that they don’t know that all these gatherings were not announced. And we provided security for as many as 23,000 of those 24,000 gatherings. That was our decision, but it is not in accordance with the law. I initiated that decision, which is not in accordance with the law, to protect them and so they can’t complain that someone is attacking them. We even provided cars to protect them, both in front and behind, and to prevent incidents with cars. And the question arises, why don’t they stick to the law. They are constantly talking about laws, but they don’t stick to them,” said Vučić.

“I called for a dialogue many times”

Vučić reminded that he had called for a dialogue on many occasions, ever since December 11th, when the fulfillment of the demands began.

“Then I said, since I saw through that it was a color revolution, that they would not accept the conversation. They were in euphoria because of the large number of people on the streets. At one point they had 90,000 people on the streets throughout Serbia, now that number has been reduced to a few thousand. Then they said they would not talk. After that we sent a letter to rector Đokić, who said that he couldn’t wait to talk to the president, and I wanted to talk, to see what they were dissatisfied with,” said Vučić.

According to Vučić, the rector of the University of Belgrade, Đokić, said the day after that “that he cannot talk in this way or that way”.

Vučić points out that after all the words that have been said, it is impossible to have a conversation.

“Albanian, thief, criminal… I didn’t say that about them, so they put up pictures of my child as a drug dealer. And I listened to and endured all of that, and offered a conversation. And they tell me we can’t, you called us blockers. Well, what are you then? Little blockers? I never called anyone Ustaše or terrorists. Every time I condemn overly harsh words, but you have to understand that something is met with a response. Last night they hit a guy with a bottle at the ‘ćacilend’ location. When 500 of them gather, I guess they think they can harass someone. And that guy said, ‘I want to fight with you’. 10 policemen jumped on him and knocked him to the ground. Not 10, 15 policemen. Facing the boys and girls in ‘ćacilend’. Just to tell you what it looks like,” said Vučić.

He asked why after 10 months, students are still trapped at a hundred faculties, and those who want to work and study cannot because of the blockades.

Speaking about the normalization of classes at the faculties, he says that he does not believe that lectures will continue even after November 3rd.

“Too much money has been invested in them. It’s like when you’re doing something, building something, it fails on the market, and you still don’t understand and don’t want to sell it for cheaper. They can’t leave it even though everything has failed. There is no longer a possibility for a color revolution. And you’re asking about the blockade in front of the Assembly? You’re not interested in these thousands of others. For example, I don’t believe anything rector Đokić says… Because he is a liar. I believe Macut, but I don’t believe those who told Macut. We will wait until November 3rd to see if they are telling the truth or not. They didn’t do anything of their own free will, only orders were coming,” the president emphasized.

“Then I knew…”

He adds that it is not normal when someone blocks streets and roads every day without announcing a gathering.

“Over 200,000 times, streets and roads have been blocked in a criminal way. Of course, this makes ordinary citizens nervous and angry, and that is why more and more citizens who want a normal life are gathering,” Vučić said, then continued:

“I believe that upon my return from New York, there will be 200,000 people on the streets. Free citizens have woken up, not the others whose lives someone else determines. People want normal lives. I worried about every day of the blockades, I know how much damage they cause us. When I saw that Đokić did not want to talk to his country, but he wanted to talk to foreigners, then I understood everything.”

“Then I knew that we would win, and that the end was coming, but that they would not want to admit it and that they would push until the end. They will push it until the elections, and in the elections they will suffer a real catastrophe. They always address the same people in the same bubble. They don’t understand what is happening outside and around them, just as your colleague Ivanović wrote. As for the list, I would like them to come out with that list as soon as possible, because if you think that Đokić and Bakić will save them, you can’t believe how many fewer votes they will get,” the president said.

He repeated that he is still ready to sit down and talk, regardless of the fact that he is “Hitler, an Albanian and a f****t”.

“Now when I was in Banjica, the decent people I was walking with, they didn’t shout a single ugly word to anyone. They didn’t insult anyone in any way, and with them insults are constant, that is the essence of their gatherings,” he said.

Vučić emphasized that he has no problem confronting arguments with anyone, and that he has publicly called for a dialogue multiple times.

“It is terribly important for us to have a dialogue. I have already sent an invitation and offered it. But they won’t, because they are not allowed to say anything to me. What can they say when I ask them what they left of the army, and what do we have today? Well, I publicly issued a call for a debate, let them bring four of them, and they said ‘no, we won’t’,” Vučić stated.

He reminded that the blockers demanded elections, with the fact that they first demanded no elections, while now they say his head will be gone if he does not call them.

“What will they say when I ask them how many railways they have built, roads… They were ministers and officials for 12 years, and they didn’t do anything. They destroyed the airline company, destroyed the army. What will they come out with, except hatred. You can hate one man, because he is more successful than you, but with what argument can they go to a debate. They know they don’t have a single serious argument,” said Vučić.

“I condemn Vučinić’s statement”

When asked to comment on Siniša Vučinić’s statement about the possible murder of Pavle Cicvarić by the blockers, the president says that he has no knowledge that a murder is being planned.

“Just allow me to answer briefly. See how interesting this is. Every day, every day, officials, journalists, analysts, candidates on the blockers’ list, talk about how I should be killed, they draw me hanged and killed. That is never strange to anyone, but this is strange to you,” Vučić pointed out.

“I condemn Siniša Vučinić’s statement, I consider it irresponsible. He wanted to say that the blockers are failing, and everyone knows that. But you don’t say that in such a way, and that’s why I condemn that statement by Siniša Vučinić. But I also condemn those who kill me 14 times a day, and you have never done or noticed that,” Vučić replied.

According to him, just in case, the BIA will be given the task, as will the police, to check if there is anything behind those claims about Cicvarić.

“That’s how a responsible state and a responsible president behave,” he added.

“I trust the police”

He also stated that on March 15, some parts of the police were ready to participate in the color revolution.

“Some turned their guns towards the ‘ćacilend’ location, and not towards those who were threatening the safety of the people. They destroyed hundreds of tractors, beat people,” said the President of Serbia, adding that despite all that, he always trusted the police.

“I would get angry with our people when they told me that. I have respect and a fair relationship and trust in our police. The whole story of Miss Sinđelić is incredible to me. But I want the competent authorities to establish that, and to show respect for the woman. We must work on this, we have significantly reduced the number of femicides, but there are still people who think they have the right to commit violence against women. I said that in the show, on Informer, I personally and publicly criticized it. You cannot show someone’s photos because you think you will harm someone. I am absolutely against that,” said Vučić.

About “Maidan”

When asked to comment on the Russian SVR’s intelligence that a “Maidan” is being prepared in Serbia on November 1st, President Vučić says that there is nothing new about that.

“What’s not true there? It happens every day. Every day we have an attempted color revolution. Every day they will gather and tear something down. This has been tried countless times, they have broken into institutions, into different buildings. In Vojvodina, and in Belgrade, and throughout Serbia, Niš, Kragujevac… Provincial, republican, municipal, all illegally,” Vučić stated.

He pointed out that the Russians announced that this “Maidan” in Serbia is being planned for November 1st, and that the Serbian services are analyzing that information.

“Our agencies will talk to them. It is not a big surprise for us. They have to make one big attempt, which will be smaller than the one on Vidovdan, when they gathered about thirty thousand people. When you are losing, then reality is always cruel and you find countless excuses,” he said.
