VUČIĆ ON IVICA DAČIĆ’S CONDITION: We expected a faster improvement, it’s possible there’s something doctors don’t see!

President Aleksandar Vučić stated today that the health condition of Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Ivica Dačić is stable, but that a faster improvement was expected and there is concern that there may be something doctors have not yet detected.

“To be completely honest, although the condition is stable, I am very concerned about Ivica Dačić’s state,” Vučić said in a statement to Serbian media in Astana, where he is on an official visit at the invitation of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Vučić noted that he is in constant contact with Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar and, through him, with the Assistant Director of the Pulmonology Clinic where Dačić was hospitalized two days ago due to severe pneumonia, Dr. Spasoje Popević.

“I don’t want to bother the doctor directly. Tonight, as soon as I land in Belgrade, I will go to the hospital, but there are no changes. The condition is stable. On one hand, that is good, but we expected faster improvements,” Vučić said.

He added that there is concern that there may be something else that doctors do not see.

“The exact reasons cannot yet be fully determined. We fear that there is something we do not see. I am not a doctor. That is all I can tell you. I want to see tonight whether he was awake at all or not, and how things are progressing. But yes, I am very worried,” Vučić said.

He also stated that he has been praying to God for Dačić’s recovery.

“Certainly, the situation is not simple,” Vučić added.
