Republicans have secured enough seats to maintain control of the House of Representatives, establishing a unique government under the control of the Republican Party in Washington, ABC News reported.
It is predicted that Republicans will reach the threshold of 218 seats, securing a majority in the House of Representatives, after already confirming their majority in the Senate, where they also won at least 52 seats. Meanwhile, current Democratic Senator from Pennsylvania Bob Casey trails Republican Dave McCormick by a significant number of votes still left to be counted.

Republicans claimed victory as early as Tuesday, and leaders of the Republican House have promised to quickly cooperate with the newly elected President, Republican Donald Trump, following his inauguration in January.
Following control of the Senate and the White House, Republicans under Trump have now solidified their hold on Congress.
