Nenad Milanović, CEO of the information technology company “Cake,” wrote on his X account that he had allocated two million dinars to support students who have been blocking faculties for more than two weeks, demanding that those responsible for the accident in Novi Sad be prosecuted.
“I have allocated 2 million dinars to support students in their efforts. Send me tips on where the help is needed and in which city,” he wrote on his X account, asking that this post reach as many student groups as possible.
“We are going out into the field to understand what kind of help makes the most sense, but we need direction and tips so that the money can be optimally directed,” added Milanović.

As a reminder, student protests have been ongoing in Serbia for days due to the tragedy in Novi Sad. About 50 state faculties in Serbia are blocked. All faculties in Belgrade and Novi Sad have decided to suspend operations, and as for the University of Niš and the University of Kragujevac, the number of blocked higher education institutions has also increased.
The wave of student blockades in Serbia was initiated by students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, after they were, as they stated, attacked by an organized group at the “Stop Serbia” gathering, when they were paying tribute to the victims of the tragedy in Novi Sad.
As a reminder, Vučić, in addressing the public, announced the fulfillment of several demands of the students who blocked the faculties of universities in Serbia.
However, all plenums of the blocked faculties of the University of Belgrade and the University of Arts in Belgrade stated that their demands had not been met, thus responding to the statement of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić that he had fulfilled everything they had asked for.
