American journalist Tucker Carlson said the US government has been blocking his attempts to arrange an interview with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky for more than a year.

Carlson posted a video on X on Wednesday announcing an upcoming interview with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The journalist said the conversation with the top Russian diplomat was aimed at providing perspective on how close Washington and Moscow are to direct conflict.
