Bloomberg has published information about a major project planned in Belgrade by Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of newly elected US President Donald Trump.
The project involves the construction of the Trump Tower on Kneza Miloša Street.
“As Donald Trump returns to the White House, his son-in-law Jared Kushner embarks on an international business venture that bears a name close to home—’Trump’,” Bloomberg reports.
Affinity Partners, an investment firm founded by Kushner after leaving the White House, has partnered with Emirati billionaire Mohamed Alabbar to develop a luxury hotel and residential complex in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
The project will be located on the former site of the Ministry of Defense of Yugoslavia.
The Belgrade project already has an official online presentation, where visitors can view renderings of the planned structures from multiple perspectives.

According to Bloomberg, Donald Trump had considered a similar idea back in 2016, prior to his presidential campaign. However, thanks to his son-in-law’s initiative and the support of partners from the United Arab Emirates, the idea is now becoming a reality.
The complex will bear the name “Trump” and will include a luxury hotel and prestigious apartments. Kushner stated that the decision to brand the project with his father-in-law’s name was made following Trump’s election victory in November, further solidifying the Trump family’s global brand.
Belgrade, as an emerging hub for international investments, represents a strategic choice for such a project.
The luxury complex is expected to contribute to the urban development of the city and attract high-profile investors and tourists from around the world.
