In a Russian drone attack in northeastern Ukraine, in the Sumy Oblast, two brothers and a married couple were killed, while in a separate missile strike a production facility of the American multinational company Mondelez International was damaged, authorities announced on February 21.
Four people were killed in the town of Znob-Novhorodske, located less than four kilometers from Ukraine’s border with Russia.
The governor of Sumy Oblast, Oleh Hrihorov, stated that two brothers were first wounded by an explosive device dropped by a drone and were then being transported to the hospital.
“On the way to the hospital, the Russians deliberately attacked the ambulance vehicle with an assault drone,” he said.
In another Russian attack, two brothers were killed. One of them was 17 years old. In the Russian attacks, a married couple was also killed, bringing the death toll in Sumy Oblast to four, Hrihorov added.

Missile strike on Mondelez facility in Trostianets
Meanwhile, in a Russian missile strike, a production facility of Mondelez International in the town of Trostianets was hit. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, stated that the factory is not a military target.
“This is not a military facility, but a factory that has been operating since the 1990s, produces globally recognized brands, employs Ukrainians, and contributes to both our and the American economy,” he said in a post on the social network “X.”
Trostianets is located about 30 kilometers from the Russian border. The city was occupied by Russian forces in the first days of the war, and Ukrainian forces regained control of it in March 2022.
