U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with “The Atlantic” that the war in the Middle East could be coming to an end, given that Iran, according to him, has agreed to new negotiations.

On Saturday, February 28, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed, after which American media reported that many Iranian military commanders were surrendering.

“They want to talk, and I agreed to talk, so I will talk to them. They should have done that earlier.

They should have given what was very practical and easy to do earlier. They waited too long,” Trump said, but did not reveal when the peace negotiations would begin.

As a reminder, Israel and the United States attacked Iran early on Saturday, February 28, in a military operation called “Epic Rage.” In the attacks, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad were killed.
