The FBI has issued a statement along with photos of a person suspected of assassinating Charlie Kirk.
“We are seeking the public’s help in identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University,” the statement said.
The photos show a person wearing a cap, sunglasses and a long-sleeved black shirt/sweater.
The FBI’s Salt Lake City office today posted photos of the person of interest on the X network.

The office provided a phone number through which the public can provide information: 1-800-CALL-FBI.
A search is underway for the person who killed prominent conservative political activist Charlie Kirk. State and federal officials say they have tracked the attacker’s movements.
Authorities believe they found the firearm with which Kirk was shot on a nearby roof. Sources state that a series of phrases related to cultural issues were written on the rifle and ammunition, but it is not yet clear whether they indicate a motive.
The attacker is a man and “appears to be of student age,” the investigators said.
