At the International STEMCO Olympiad in Singapore, students from Serbia won nine gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.
The International STEMCO Olympiad, held from February 12 to 16 in Singapore, saw the participation of six students from Serbia, led by Ivana Milošević, a professor at the Mathematical Grammar School.
Three students—Filip Kilibarda (1d), Mihajlo Giga (1a), and Konstantin Stojilković (8b)—won six gold medals. Filip Kilibarda competed individually in physics, chemistry, and biology, where he excelled in each category and won three gold medals.
He was also named the overall winner among first-year high school students. Mihajlo competed in physics and chemistry, winning two gold medals, while Konstantin competed in science and won a gold medal.
Additionally, the Serbian team included Petar Šekarić, an eighth-grade student from “Janko Veselinović” Elementary School, who won first place (gold medal) in science and was named the overall winner for the 8th grade; Tamara Berkesel, a second-year student at “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Grammar School in Novi Sad, who won two gold medals (biology and chemistry) and a bronze medal in physics; and Mila Urošević, a second-year student at the Fifth Belgrade Grammar School, who won two silver medals (biology and physics) and a bronze medal (chemistry).
