“The competition was held at the National University in Singapore and we did tests in biology, chemistry, physics and science, each for their age category. Our second year of high school belongs to their Grade 10 level and I was the only student from Serbia who competed in this category. The competition itself was well organized, because it is still a university that is considered the best in Asia, or the eighth best in the world. On that occasion, we visited the university campus, which is truly fascinating and left a great impression on me,” said Tamara Berkesel after returning from Singapore.

Our competitors traveled to Singapore on February 11, so they had time for a tourist tour.

“In a few days, from arrival to the competition, we had time to visit some interesting destinations. We visited Changi Airport, cruised the river and visited the Universal Studios amusement park, as well as the botanical gardens of Singapore, Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and Garden Rhapsody. We got acquainted with a new dimension of living, as well as with a culture that we did not know in this way until now. Singapore is a very rich and well-organized country, which is really worth visiting and getting to know better,” our interlocutor points out.

She adds that this competition is her biggest competitive experience so far.

“For me, it represents a confirmation of my dedicated work and effort. It is a sign to me that I am on the right track to achieve my wishes and goals,” concludes Tamara Berkesel.
