About sixty professors from Novi Sad began a relay marathon from Novi Sad to Belgrade, where they will join the protest rally of education workers in front of the Ministry of Education tonight. Students from Kragujevac and Kraljevo, together with colleagues from Čačak and Užice, started walking to Niš. Students from Vranje are also leaving for Niš.
Professors of the University of Novi Sad started a relay marathon to Belgrade today. The relay will be a declaration by which they commit to stand by the students until their demands are met.
Zorica Stojanović, associate professor at the Faculty of Technology, stated that they want to provide support to the students in this way.
“We are telling them that we will stay with them until the end, until all their demands are met,” Stojanović told 021.

The first group gathered in front of the Railway Station at 8:45 am, where they first paid tribute to the victims at this place with 15 minutes of silence. After paying tribute, the professors handed over the declaration to the students in Novi Sad at this place, while they will hand over the second copy to the students in Belgrade.
The marathon will follow the same route that the students ran, in the professors’ desire to symbolically show that they are following the path that the students “paved” seeking justice after the collapse of the canopy at the Railway Station in Novi Sad.
This declaration, which will be handed to the students during the relay marathon, reads:
