A video has appeared on social media, because of which numerous users in the USA and the world claim to have identified the assassin of the American conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, reports the BBC.
The BBC’s fact-checking platform is currently analyzing the footage that appeared on the social network X.
During a police briefing, law enforcement officials said they were studying surveillance camera footage from the university in Utah and that they believe Kirk’s assassin was “dressed in dark clothing” and that the bullet “came from the roof”.

According to the BBC, the post that attracted the attention of the wider public in the USA shows a dark silhouette on the roof of the university building.
As they further state, BBC Verify tried to enlarge the image, but the quality is too poor to accurately determine what it is.
According to their assessment, the location is about 150 meters from where Kirk was sitting at the moment he was shot.
