A sports aircraft of the Piper type crashed an hour ago near the Bikovo airfield outside Subotica.
According to unofficial information, there were two crew members on board, one of whom died at the scene, while the other sustained injuries and was urgently transported to the hospital.
The cause of the crash is not yet known, and police officers, fire-rescue units, and emergency medical services are currently at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and the competent services are securing the area and collecting initial information about the circumstances of the accident.
