A member of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, J.A., who was arrested this morning at the Končulj administrative crossing by the so-called Kosovo police, has been expelled from Kosovo and Metohija by the provisional Priština institutions.

J.A. has been banned from entering Kosovo and Metohija for a period of five years, his lawyer Miloš Nikolić told Tanjug.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced earlier today that at the Končulj administrative crossing, on the order of the Prime Minister of the provisional Priština institutions, Aljbin Kurti, another Serbian police officer, J.A. from Strelica in the municipality of Kosovska Kamenica, was detained.

J.A. was first detained at the administrative crossing and then transferred to the so-called deportation center in Priština.

This is the fifth member of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs who has been arrested by the so-called Kosovo police in the last few days and subsequently expelled from Kosovo and Metohija by the Priština authorities.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija emphasized that it is shameful that the international community remains silent on the unlawful expulsion and persecution of Serbs, whose fundamental human rights are being violated and freedoms guaranteed by international conventions are being endangered.
