Students participating in the blockade organized another protest action today, this time in front of the Ministry of Education, where they left textbooks in support of high school students.
After fifteen minutes of paying respects to those who died in the collapse of the canopy in Novi Sad at several locations in the city, the students marched together towards the Ministry, chanting the slogans of the student protests.

In addition to the standard slogans, the gathered crowd chanted the chorus of a folk song that has been a hit among students in recent weeks – “Izađi, mala” (Come out, little girl).
When they arrived in front of the Ministry, the students performed a piece by leaving old textbooks, which they said were “reading material for an extended vacation,” from which, they said, Minister of Education Slavica Đukić Dejanović would learn something about education and what the life of students and high school students looks like.
They called on the minister to come out, but there was no answer. In announcing the action, the students said that the goal of the performance was to draw attention to the early start of the winter break for elementary and high schools.
“The Ministry of Education decided to shorten the semester and start the winter break a week early. High school students have given enormous support to our fight to meet our demands and have shown solidarity. Now it’s time for us to stand by them,” the students wrote on Instagram.
