Representatives of the University of Novi Sad students who have blockaded their faculties have donated fruits and vegetables to the Solidarity Kitchen in CK13.
Željana Rusmir, a student at the Faculty of Economics, told 021.rs that the donation of fruits and vegetables to the Solidarity Kitchen, which operates within the Black House, was previously received by the blockaded students from numerous farmers and citizens, and that the students’ desire was for the food to circulate.
“First of all, we want to thank all the people who brought us food and equipment, and some of the fruit that we are now donating to the Solidarity Kitchen is a donation from farmers. We are trying to share all the food among ourselves at the university level, but there are some things that are perishable and we don’t want them to go to waste. So we agreed that this would be a donation at the university level and that we would help our fellow citizens as much as we can,” emphasizes Rusmir.

Solidarity among the blockaded students has spread to citizens, farmers, entrepreneurs, high school students, and educators, and the student believes that this is the most important thing and sent a message that the donated food is distributed every day and not thrown away.
“The only thing that keeps us going now is actually that solidarity. So through this, we want to send a message to all people not to worry, we are trying to make sure that the food is not wasted, we communicate with each other every day, we share. Although we, the students, are now in focus, of course, we should not forget the other groups that need help. Through this, I also invite others to come, to donate, of course, to us students, as well as to other groups who are also waiting for help from their citizens, and to be together in this and to always be solidary, not just in this period,” she says.
