Students who are cycling to Strasbourg to draw the attention of European institutions to the events in Serbia arrived last night in Stuttgart, where they were greeted by a large number of people who gathered at Marienplatz.

The arrival in the city was extremely physically demanding due to numerous uphill climbs, say the cyclists, as reported by N1.

Numerous citizens welcomed the student cyclists with shouts of “pump, pump”.

Upon arrival, the students said that they felt as if they were in Serbia due to the large number of our people living in the diaspora.

“I’m a little sorry when I see how many of our people are in Germany. I really don’t have the impression that I’ve left Serbia or the ex-YU area, because constantly the interactions are only with our people, we speak our language here. Every day, all day long, we are all among our people, constantly, as we move, we go through villages, along some main road, every 2-3 kilometers some group of 3-5 people with a flag waving. If we were driving through Serbia, there wouldn’t be more people, so I’m a little sorry that so many people have left the country, but well, I hope we will manage to do something and that these people might return to Serbia one day,” said one student for N1.

The student cyclists left Stuttgart this morning, and their goal for today is the city of Karlsruhe.
