The head coach of the Serbian men’s senior national team, Svetislav Pešić, has selected a list of 17 candidates for the 2025 European Championship.
The list includes: Aleksa Avramović, Stefan Jović, Vasilije Micić, Bogdan Bogdanović, Marko Gudurić, Uroš Trifunović, Nikola Topić, Ognjen Dobrić, Vanja Marinković, Dejan Davidovac, Nikola Jović, Filip Petrušev, Nikola Jokić, Nikola Milutinov, Tristan Vukčević, Balša Koprivica, and Alen Smailagić.
Assistant coaches to head coach Svetislav Pešić will be Oliver Kostić, Ognjen Stojaković, Marko Marinović, Nenad Jakovljević, and Mihajlo Mitić. Conditioning coaches are Marko Sekulić, Marko Stanojević, Feđa Sretenović, and Stefan Radoičić.
Our selection gathers on July 28 in Belgrade to begin preparations for the Old Continent championship. The base for coach Pešić’s chosen players during the first part of the preparatory period will be Stara Pazova, and the first two friendly matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina on August 5 and Poland on August 6 in the Belgrade Arena will be closed to the public.
Serbia will play two preparatory tournaments – in Cyprus on August 9 and 10, along with the hosts, Greece and Israel, and in Munich with the national teams of Germany, Turkey, and the Czech Republic, on August 15 and 16. To conclude preparations, a spectacle awaits us in the Belgrade Arena when Serbia will host Slovenia on August 21.
The European Championship is scheduled from August 27 to September 14 in Latvia, Finland, Poland, and Cyprus.
The Serbian national team is in Group A with the national teams of Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Turkey, and the Czech Republic and will play its matches in Riga.
