Students who set off on foot from three directions towards Kragujevac have arrived in the city tonight, where they will participate in the gathering “Let’s Meet at Sretenje” tomorrow.

Students from Belgrade and Niš walked for four days in a march to Kragujevac. Students from Kraljevo and Novi Pazar met with students from Čačak in Mrčajevci on Thursday, from where they traveled through Knić and were the first to arrive in Kragujevac. The student marathon relay from Belgrade and students on bicycles from Novi Sad and Belgrade reached the city center before the student columns.

The column of students from Novi Sad and Belgrade arrived in Kragujevac shortly after 9 PM. They were greeted with euphoria, having walked more than 130 kilometers.

At the head of the column was a banner reading “Sretenje has come, but when will fulfillment?” As they walked through the corridor of citizens towards the center, the crowd chanted “students” and “bravo, masters.”

When asked if they were in pain, one student responded that they were hurt by “lies, corruption, injustice, and the disrespect of the law.”
