Serbia’s Interior Minister Ivica Dačić today saw off rescue teams from the Ministry of Interior‘s Emergency Management Sector as they departed for areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina affected by floods and landslides.

As the Ministry of Interior announced, Dačić bid farewell to firefighters and rescuers from Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Kragujevac, who will join the rest of the Ministry of Interior’s Special Rescue Team at the Mali Zvornik border crossing and then proceed to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Five hours and nine minutes, as we announced, our Special Rescue Teams for Bosnia and Herzegovina are departing from here, in front of the headquarters of the Emergency Management Sector for the city of Belgrade, Ministry of Interior,” Dačić said.

The rescue teams, comprised of firefighters and emergency responders from across Serbia, will be deployed to the hard-hit region of Jablanica to aid in search and rescue efforts.
