Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner is returning to the ATP Tour two weeks after his defeat to Novak Đoković in the semifinals of the Australian Open. Although everyone considered him the favorite, due to his age, ranking position, as well as the previous several head-to-head matches, the Serb once again showed why he is the greatest tennis player of all time.
The Italian will play in Doha, where he first revealed that he learned a lot from the defeat to Novak, and in Qatar he wants to return to the winning track.
- It was a big match for both of us, I learned a lot from it. I had my chances but sometimes it happens that things do not go in the direction you want. That is sport. We must not forget that defeats are sometimes a normal thing. I understood the lesson and in these two weeks I worked on some small adjustments – Sinner told “Sky Sport”.
About the conditions in Doha after his first training session which he completed with Daniil Medvedev.
- It was very hot, but it was not unbearable. It is not as difficult as in Australia, the heat here is drier. In the evening it is sometimes cold. A lot also depends on the wind – Sinner said.
