The world’s largest arms exhibition, SHOT Show in Las Vegas, concluded yesterday, where Serbian weapons once again attracted significant attention, and where, under the Zastava Arms USA brand, they have been proudly exhibited for the past five years, showcasing the heritage and innovations of the 172-year-old Zastava brand.

Ranko Ristić, director of Zastava Arms USA, exclusively shared his insights with Serbian Times:

“This event was the most attended one we’ve participated in so far, and we can boast of increased interest and enthusiasm for Zastava products. The newly introduced ZPAPM72 RPK, a long-awaited AK rifle model announced last year, was in the spotlight. Consistently fulfilling the promises we make to customers, this latest exhibition reflects Zastava’s constant alignment with market demands,” says Ranko Ristić, adding:

IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Zastava’s AK model attracted great attention in Las Vegas

“A key highlight was the introduction of a titanium suppressor for AK rifles by Zastava Arms USA. Designed and manufactured in the USA, with the latest patented PIP technology, the suppressor, aptly named “VUK” (Wolf), redefines performance standards. Unlike traditional suppressors, VUK minimizes recoil and back pressure, which aligns with the growing popularity in the US as a safety accessory. We expect that with advancements in technology and changes in regulations, suppressors like VUK will become standard products on shelves across the country.”

At the SHOT Show 2025, the Zastava Arms USA booth attracted great attention from the media and people in the American arms industry, who interviewed Ranko Ristić.

“The media interest is invaluable, as it raises global awareness of the Zastava Arms brand, given the international nature of the fair with exhibitors from over 100 countries, including representatives from the police and military industry.

On this occasion, Zastava Arms USA announced the launch of automatic knives produced in the USA, which were developed in cooperation with the renowned manufacturer TEKTO knives. This partnership underscores Zastava’s commitment to quality and innovation, strengthening its product portfolio and reputation in the industry.

“It was an honor to host high-ranking representatives of the Zastava Oružje factory from Kragujevac, Serbia. General Director Saša Milošević and Quality Control Director Ilija Ljujić represented nearly 2,500 employees at the factory, who are globally recognized for their expertise. Discussions were held on the potential introduction of new models to the US market, and the outstanding progress made over the past year was highlighted.”

“Zastava Arms USA remains unwavering in its commitment to innovation and excellence, reflecting the rich heritage and promising future of the Zastava brand in the US market,” concludes Ranko Ristić at the end of the interview.
