Excellent, superb news comes to us from Brescia, Italy, where Armin Sinančević claimed victory in a fiercely competitive field of Europe’s top shot putters! The athlete who has consistently brought us great results for so many years has now surpassed the last two European Indoor Champions.

At the competition known as the Brescia Grand Prix (Bronze category), Armin Sinančević threw over 21 meters for the first time this season, securing first place with a result of 21.07 meters, leaving all his competitors behind!

A Dominant Performance

Our athlete achieved this impressive result in his final, sixth attempt, after previously throwing 20.53 meters in his first attempt and then reaching 20.32 meters after three consecutive fouls in the fifth. It’s truly commendable who he managed to defeat at this competition.

Second place was taken by Sweden’s Viktor Pettersson, the silver medalist from this year’s European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, who threw 21.05 meters. Third was the champion from the aforementioned European Championships, Romania’s Andrei Rareș Toader, with 20.68 meters, while the 2023 European Indoor Champion from Istanbul, Zane Weir, placed fourth with 20.57 meters.

Armin Sinančević has now secured his second consecutive victory, having recently triumphed in the Czech town of Ústí nad Labem with a throw of 20.96 meters. Well done, champion!

Of course, our athlete was also a European outdoor vice-champion in Munich in 2022, and this current form is very encouraging. His personal best stands at 21.88 meters, achieved in 2021.
