At the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) held in Skopje, Tina Ninić, a competitor from the Asteriks Taekwondo Club in Niš, won a bronze medal in the under 49 kg category.
Representing Serbia and her home club, Tina excelled among the best young fighters from across the continent. Although the competition was extremely strong, she displayed exceptional fighting spirit, technique, and mental strength – characteristics that define top athletes.
Niš a Growing Hub for Sports Talent
This result is not only a great success for the Asteriks Taekwondo Club but also for the city of Niš, which is increasingly becoming recognized as a breeding ground for sports talent. Tina’s performance showed that Niš has young people worthy of attention and support – youth who, with hard work, discipline, and coaching support, can compete with the best in Europe.
“We are proud of Tina and the entire team behind her success. This is further proof that the future of Serbian taekwondo is being built in Niš,” the club stated.
The European Youth Olympic Festival is one of the most important competitions for athletes up to 18 years old, and a medal from this competition is often just the first stop on the path to European, World, and Olympic titles.
