Lazar Dejanović from Zvečan was sentenced to eight months in prison and a €10,000 fine for “attacking a public official” and “hooliganism” during protests by Serbs in three municipalities in northern Kosovo in late May last year.
The judge of the basic court of the provisional Pristina institutions, Valjon Kurtaj, issued the verdict based on a previous agreement between the prosecutor and the accused, who admitted to committing the aforementioned criminal offenses.
The accused Dejanović will continue serving his sentence until its expiration and was arrested on June 19 this year.

During the hearing, it was stated that by admitting guilt, the accused negotiated an agreement with the prosecutor, who proposed a sentence of eight to ten months in prison for the crime of attacking a public official, taking into account the time spent in prison, and six months in prison or a fine of 10 to 11 thousand euros, for the second criminal offense.
The accused Dejanović, according to his lawyer Ljubomir Pantović, accepted the prosecutor’s proposal for a prison sentence for the first criminal offense of eight months, and is willing to pay a fine of 10 thousand euros for the second.
The Special Prosecution Office of the provisional Pristina institutions filed charges yesterday against a suspect with the initials L. D.
