After eight years of dedicated work, the long-awaited feature film “Storm Rider” will be presented to the audience, for which the direction and screenplay are signed by Serb Zoran Lisinac, co-director and screenwriter of the record-breaking domestic hit “Toma”, together with Croatian director and screenwriter Domagoj Mazuran, for whom this is a debut feature-length achievement.

The producer of the film is Neb Chupin, who has a series of notable Hollywood productions behind him with stars like John Travolta and John Malkovich.

The executive producers of the film are also Vladimir Lisinac and Miroslav Mogorovic, a multi-award-winning producers from Serbia. The film was created with the support of the Film Incentive Program of the Republic of Serbia.

Announced in the American media as an action sci-fi adventure that deserves special attention from the audience in 2026, the Hollywood-Serbian film “Storm Rider” will be shown in more than 300 of the largest cinemas in America starting March 13.

The exclusive Serbian premiere of the film is expected in Belgrade on April 9th, after which the film will be in all cinemas throughout Serbia in the distribution of MegaCom Film.

Three centuries after the Great Flood, the world has scattered into dispersed islands, forever exposed to the threat of a massive, endless Storm. The Islanders’ only hope for safety lies in the fortified city-state of Argos — a sanctuary that can only be reached through dangerous trials known as Riding the Storm. Yet, among them smolders a defiant current of those who believe that true salvation lies not within Argos, but on the other side of the Storm itself.

“Storm Rider” follows the daring journey of two young rebels from the island who defy fate. Determined to break through the wall of the eternal Storm, they will step into the forbidden and unknown, and reveal the truth about the origin of their world – a secret that has been carefully hidden for centuries by the immortal masters of Argos, the mysterious Founders.

The film stars some of the most prominent international acting stars: James Cosmo (Game of Thrones), Caroline Goodall (Schindler’s List), Marco Ilsø (Vikings), and Sara Sofie Boussnina (Dune: Sisterhood). Side by side with them, significant names from the regional acting scene have notable roles, including Goran Bogdan, Sergej Trifunovic, and Ivana Dudic.

In addition to the Adriatic coast, the film was also shot in Belgrade – at Kalemegdan and in the tunnel near Tashmajdan.

“Storm Rider” is the first authentic co-production between Hollywood and Serbia, created with the clear ambition to represent the region as an equal and relevant participant on the world film scene. At the same time, “Storm Rider” represents a historical step forward for the region: this is the first film in the history of regional cinema that will be shown in more than 300 cinemas in the United States of America.
