Part of the delegation of the Red Star Football Club at the 177th “eternal derby” was the vice-president of the Management Board of the red and white Sports Society, Vladan Miketić.
The weekly “Radar” reminds that Miketić was arrested in November 2022 together with the members of the criminal group “vračarci”, and less than two years later he was sitting in the VIP box of the “Partizan” Stadium in the company of the general director of the Red Star Football Club Zvezdan Terzić.
During the match between the Partizan and Red Star football players, Miketić was sitting in the second row of the ceremonial box behind the highest officials of the Red Star FC – Terzić, then president Svetozar Mijailović, sports director Mitar Mrkela and technical director Marko Marin, which can also be seen on the Sport Club video.
To the left of Miketić sits one of Terzić’s two sons and a high-ranking official of OFK Beograd, Kostadin Terzić.
Vladan Miketić, however, is also known for his career that has little to do with sports. Namely, according to the weekly “Radar”, in 2022 he was arrested together with the members of the criminal group “vračarci”, and in the media he was also designated as a member of the “Keka’s group” and is currently being tried for attempted aggravated murder and incitement.
Miketić was arrested in an operation by the BIA, SBPOK and UKP together with 16 other members of the organized criminal group.
The indictment against “vračarci” states that Miketić, acting on the orders of Uroš Piperski, and with the intention of depriving Andrija Zarić of his life, together with Stevan Mandarić provided the amount of 50,000 euros for the payment to the perpetrators of the criminal offense. As it was further stated, during the observation and tracking of Zarić’s movements, he found a suitable location for the execution of the murder, and then also came to data about the vehicle that Zarić uses, and he also arranged for the procurement of an automatic rifle for the direct perpetrator of the murder.
The portal “Nova” announced that Zarić, who was once a member of the Voždovac clan, was seriously wounded in front of the building, but in the end he managed to escape.
Miketić owns a total of seven companies, “Radar” writes, and he manages at least three together with Slobodan Govedarica, a business partner of Kostadin Terzić, the son of Zvezdan Terzić, the director of the Red Star Football Club.
He is, among other things, the owner of the company Procoopac d.o.o. which will receive three million euros from the state for the project of reconstruction and adaptation of the “Union” hotel in Belgrade.
Despite the difficult and serious accusations, Miketić was released to defend himself from freedom after he paid a bail of 900,000 euros, with a ban on leaving the country.
According to “Radar’s” information, he was not returned to custody even after he tried to cross the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina in November 2023. Although the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime then requested that he be remanded in custody again, the Higher Court in Belgrade rejected that request.
