Russian forces continue to successfully confront the remaining units of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk region. Continuing their offensive, the Russian group “Sever” dealt a defeat to Ukrainian forces in nine settlements along the Kursk axis, the Ministry of Defense reported.

According to the Ministry, crews of Russian Ka-52M helicopters thwarted the rotation of Ukrainian army units in the border area of that Russian region.

In addition to personnel losses, Ukrainian forces have also lost a significant amount of armored equipment.

Furthermore, soldiers from the “Sever” group, with the help of a drone, detected the movement of a tank belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and destroyed it with a direct hit from the “Lancet” loitering munition.

The operation was conducted in the Sumy region of Ukraine, which borders the Kursk region.

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian army has lost 270 soldiers along the Kursk axis in the past 24 hours.

Since the beginning of the operation, 24,700 Ukrainian soldiers, 167 tanks, 82 infantry fighting vehicles, and 102 armored personnel carriers have been taken out of service, reports Sputnik.
