U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Richard Grenell stated today that the claims made by Albin Kurti, Prime Minister of Kosovo’s provisional institutions, that Washington-Pristina relations are “stronger than ever”, demonstrate that Kurti is delusional, as according to the American official, these relations are actually at an all-time low.
“Relations have never been worse. Kurti has been condemned by former U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, the Biden administration, NATO, the EU, the U.S. Embassy, former U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and many others,” Grenell wrote on the X platform.
Along with his statement, Grenell posted a clip from Kurti’s interview with Pristina-based media, in which Kurti claims that relations between Pristina and Washington are currently at their best.
Delusional.

Relations have never been lower. Albin Kurti has been condemned by the first Trump Administration, the Biden Administration, NATO, the EU, the U.S. Embassy, Anthony Blinken, etc. https://t.co/jiqMrrk18d
Kurti also asserted that under his leadership, relations between so-called Kosovo and the U.S. have strengthened not only diplomatically but also in security and energy sectors.
A few days ago, Grenell also stated that Kurti’s government failed to inspire confidence during Donald Trump’s first term, as well as under former U.S. President Joseph Biden’s administration. He added that both Republicans and Democrats have criticized Kurti for unilateral moves aimed at destabilizing the region, Tanjug reports.
“Kurti has also been criticized by the EU and NATO. The international community is united against him,” Grenell wrote on X.
