The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury has lifted sanctions on several companies related to Belarus, as well as on Nebojša Karić, the son of Serbian businessman Bogoljub Karić, who is the owner of these companies, OFAC announced.
According to the Russian Interfax, the USA has lifted sanctions on the companies “Dana Holdings Limited” and “Dana Holdings,” which are registered in Cyprus and operate in the construction sector.
The subsidiary company “Dana Astra” is building the residential complex “Minsk World” in the capital of Belarus. Sanctions have also been lifted on Nebojša Karić.
The European Union and the USA imposed sanctions against these companies in 2020, and the restrictions included freezing the companies’ accounts, a ban on cooperation with them, and giving them loans.
