REMOVED FROM THE BLACKLIST: The USA lifted sanctions for four Serbs from Republika Srpska, here is what Dodik said about it!

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated last night, regarding the lifted sanctions on officials of Srpska, that the sanctions were politically motivated “by the previous American administration, primarily Biden’s people.”

“The four individuals who were on the US sanctions list began to be removed (from the sanctions list) 15-20 days ago, and today all procedures were finally completed. They have been freed from sanctions, as you could see and notice,” Dodik emphasized, as reported by the Radio-Television of Republika Srpska.

He stressed that he believes he will have the opportunity to “discuss this topic with responsible people when the time comes.”

“We are succeeding in telling some that everything is politically motivated, and I believe we will succeed in that. We have the right to hope,” concluded the President of Republika Srpska.

Earlier yesterday, the US Department of the Treasury removed Danijel Dragičević, Jelena Pajić Baštinac, Goran Raković, and Dijana Milanković from the sanctions list, it was published on the official website of the Ministry.

The four of them received the sanctions at different times, due to their participation in the organization of the celebration of the Day of Republika Srpska, on January 9.

This removal from the American “blacklist” was announced on Friday on the official website of the US Department.

The outgoing administration of Joseph Biden placed Dijana Milanković, the general director of RTRS, on the sanctions list in the last hours of its mandate due to her participation in organizing the celebration of the Day of Republika Srpska.

For the same reason, sanctions were also imposed on the head of the Republic Protocol, Goran Raković, RTRS adds.

A year earlier, in March 2024, Jelena Pajić Baštinac, the General Secretary of the President of Republika Srpska, was also sanctioned, finding herself on the “blacklist” due to her participation in the organization of the Day of Republika Srpska that year, RTRS reminds.
