In the municipality of Orahovac, human remains were discovered, suspected to belong to individuals who went missing during the Kosovo war, the Kosovo government’s Missing Persons Commission announced.
Forensic teams from the Institute of Forensic Medicine, together with EULEX experts and with the support of the Government Commission and the Police Directorate for War Crimes Investigation, continued excavations and examinations at the site under the order of the Basic Court in Pristina, reports KoSSev.
During the excavation, human remains were uncovered, exhumed, and sent for examination to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pristina.
According to the announcement, the exact number of individuals and their identities will be confirmed upon completion of forensic analyses.
