Protests are being held across Serbia today, following yesterday’s violence that supporters of the Serbian Progressive Party carried out against students and citizens in Novi Sad, during the commemoration of 200 years of Matica Srpska in that city.
At the protest in New Belgrade, certain citizens lit flares, while a mass of people rushed into Ušće Park.
Police in gear began a charge at the citizens in Ušće Park, in New Belgrade.
They caught up with one young man, knocked him to the ground, beat him, and then detained him.
On this occasion, one of the reporters from the protest, who recorded the moment of the arrest, was also attacked.

Protest in Novi Sad finished
As N1 reports, during the protest near the New Belgrade park Ušće, one young man was detained. As the reporter of this television station states, police officers took the young man into the fenced area of a future construction site.
Citizens who responded to the call of students in the blockade in Novi Sad have finished their protest walk. They went to the police station in this city and covered the entrance doors with posters.
A new protest is scheduled for tomorrow in this city, which will be held at the campus of the Novi Sad university starting at 1 PM.

Citizens pelted the premises of Vučić’s movement in Niš with eggs
During the protest in Niš, the premises of the Movement for the People and the State, founded by Aleksandar Vučić, were pelted with eggs.
The citizens then headed toward the police building in Nada Tomić Street.
