Stefan T. (20) was questioned at the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of Inciting a Violent Change of the Constitutional Order, under Article 309 of the Criminal Code.

The suspect denied committing the criminal offense during the questioning and presented his defense, the prosecution announced, as reported by RTS.

Following the questioning, the prosecution proposed to the pre-trial judge of the Higher Court in Belgrade that Stefan Tomić be remanded in custody to prevent him from repeating the criminal offense within a short period.

“There are grounds to suspect that on June 18, 2025, on the mobile communication application WhatsApp, in a group called ‘RG Za Komunikaciju,’ which has 16 members and whose purpose is the exchange of information and planning of protests, he published photos with handwritten text stating that – regarding the upcoming protest scheduled for June 28 in Belgrade, on Vidovdan, a violent intrusion and subsequent blockade of state institutions, including the Republican Electoral Commission, the Constitutional Court, the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, the Radio Television of Serbia building, as well as private media houses ‘Pink’ and ‘Informer,’ should be carried out, all with the intent to forcibly change the constitutional order of the Republic of Serbia and to overthrow the highest organs of power and their representatives,” the statement read.

During these violent actions, participants in the protest, as mentioned in the material, are called upon to engage in physical conflicts with the police, with claims that this benefits them and the assertion that such a conflict is inevitable, the prosecution stated.
