Prince Filip Karađorđević today issued a call for “accountability for the good of Serbia” amidst the ongoing crisis in the country.

“A just society is built on personal responsibility and a government that operates efficiently and transparently,” Filip wrote on X.

“There is no place for violence in any society that seeks progress and reconciliation. Real change can only come through respect for individuals and the rule of law,” he added.

As citizens of Serbia and Orthodox Christians, Filip continued, “we are bound by principles of justice, accountability, and moral integrity—values deeply rooted in our faith, history, and legal tradition.”

Filip Karađorđević emphasized the importance of those in “leadership positions taking responsibility for their actions and ensuring that justice is upheld in accordance with the law.”

“The voice of the youth, and all citizens, must be heard, and the state must respond with particular care,” he stated, adding that now, “more than ever, we must return to our values, restore lost trust, and unite our people.”

“Only with such resolve and determination can we face the challenges the future brings with dignity and perseverance,” wrote Filip Karađorđević, concluding with a call to action: “I call for accountability for the good of Serbia.”
