Novak Djokovic’s coach Dušan Vemić stated that the Serbian tennis player could win three Grand Slams this year and play a much better season compared to the previous one.
Djokovic started the first Grand Slam of the season in Melbourne with a victory over Spaniard Pedro Martinez.
Vemić pointed out to the French L’Equipe that this triumph is just a prelude to the great year that awaits Djokovic.
“With him, you always have to work on improvement, to move forward, to gain experience, regardless of the circumstances. He is ready to overcome all those challenges in 2026 in an even better way than the previous ones. I eagerly await this season and, in my opinion, he can win three Grand Slam tournaments this year,” said Vemić.
Vemić and Djokovic have been working together since May of the previous year, and the world number four tennis player won his 100th career tournament with him in Geneva.
In the second round of the Australian Open, Djokovic meets Italian Francesco Maestrelli.
