A “Range Rover” jeep with Belgrade license plates used by priest Mijajlo Backović of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) was set on fire last night in Tivat, “Vijesti” has learned from multiple sources.
According to the same information, the incident occurred during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday at around 3:30 a.m. in the Učuri neighborhood. The investigation is ongoing.
This is not the first time a vehicle belonging to Backović has been set on fire. A BMW burned down in front of his house in January last year.
Otherwise, a few days ago it was reported that priest Mijajlo Backović had been banned from entering Croatia.
According to media reports, he is accused of “political engagement in the removal of the disgraceful plaque in Morinj, as well as public statements that belittled the victims of aggression against Croatia and insulted the dignity of the Homeland War.”
