A “Fly Dubai” plane from the United Arab Emirates with 200 Serbian citizens has landed in Belgrade. The process of evacuating Serbian citizens from the Middle East region is underway.
The first plane with 200 of our people took off last night from the airport in Dubai, RTS reports.
The Dubai airport announced that the first flight from the United Arab Emirates to Serbia, after the suspension of flights due to tensions in the Middle East, took off around 11:30 p.m. Central European Time.
It is a “Boeing 737 Max 8” aircraft, of the air carrier “Fly Dubai,” with a capacity of 162 to 200 passengers.
The airline from Dubai, “Emirates,” announced yesterday that it is starting operations by performing a limited number of flights.
“Priority is given to passengers with earlier reservations, and those who have been rescheduled for these limited flights, ‘Emirates’ will contact directly,” the company’s statement said.
The air carrier appealed to passengers “not to come to the airport unless they have been notified.”
The company added that all other flights remain suspended until further notice.
