Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorneys say the music mogul’s biggest adjustment to life behind bars has been the food.

“I think the food is probably the roughest part of it”, Combs’ attorney Mark Agnifilo told reporters outside the federal courthouse in Manhattan after a conference.

In court on Thursday, October 10, Combs’ trial date on sex trafficking charges was set for May 5, 2025. Combs is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn while awaiting trial.

On September 20, People reported that his day behind bars began at 6:00 a.m. with a breakfast of cereal, fruit, and a pastry.

On weekdays, lunch is served at 11:00 a.m., and dinner is served after 4:00 p.m. the number of employees. Lunch consists mainly of entrees including hamburgers, baked fish, or beef tacos, with scrambled eggs and cookies on weekends.

For dinner, the menu includes options such as chicken fajitas, pasta, and roast beef. The jail also serves “heart-healthy” and vegetarian meals like lentils, tofu, and baked beans.

During his court appearance on Thursday, Combs, in a tan prison jumpsuit, was motionless and stared straight ahead.

When he emerged from the holding cells, he waved to relatives in the gallery and hugged his lawyers.

Combs’ mother had flown in from Florida and was present in the courtroom, Anthony Rico, one of his attorneys, said in court Thursday. Combs’ children were also present. Prosecutors said they expect it will take about a month to extract data from his seized devices.

Describing the amount of data as “extraordinary,” they said they could file a superseding indictment once all the data is extracted. P. Diddy has spent nearly the last month behind bars after two judges denied bail requests, although his attorneys appealed to have him released pending trial.

The mogul, who has consolidated a massive amount of power in the music industry and beyond for decades, was charged on September 17 with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting women for prostitution.
