The Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has updated its website with recommendations regarding travel to the Republic of Serbia.
As stated, it is recommended to “postpone all non-essential travel, exercise caution, monitor the current situation, and seek more detailed information before traveling due to recorded inappropriate and unfounded actions by the Republic of Serbia’s authorities towards Croatian citizens.”
“Croatian citizens are advised to avoid places where a large number of people gather. If necessary, Croatian citizens have the right to request contact with the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the Republic of Serbia at any time,” the ministry’s website states.

Let us recall that Croatia earlier today sent a protest note to Serbia and expressed strong protest against the treatment of five Croatian female citizens in Serbia.
The Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Gordan Grlić Radman, announced this protest note earlier and said that Croatia would take several measures against Serbia.
Grlić Radman also explained that the ministry’s recommendation on traveling to the neighboring country will be changed to protect the safety and security of Croatians. “As far as I can see, security is questionable,” said the head of Croatian diplomacy.
