Students of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad have called on all students of the University of Novi Sad to attend a plenum following yesterday’s police brutality against students and professors of the Faculty of Philosophy. The students announced further radicalization of the struggle. They called for a boycott of classes and also sent invitations to universities in Belgrade, Niš, and Kragujevac to join the protest, as well as to come to Novi Sad. In addition, the students called for a protest at the Faculty of Philosophy in the coming hours, as well as for a new protest tonight, also in front of the Faculty of Philosophy.
After the plenum, the students went to the Faculty of Philosophy, entered the building, and are whistling.
The plenum at the Faculty of Agriculture began at 11:30 a.m. and is being held in the amphitheater of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad. The idea is for students of the University of Novi Sad to agree on further steps in the struggle.
A Danas reporter reports that there is a huge crowd at the Faculty of Agriculture and that not all students can fit into the amphitheater.
We remind that yesterday students of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad went into blockade due to the dismissal of Professor Jelena Kleut; however, Dean Milivoj Alanović called the police, who violently expelled students and professors who were in the building of this institution.

The police stood guard all night in front of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, from where they yesterday expelled several hundred people, mostly students and professors of this faculty.
Currently there is no police in the building, but two police vans are parked across from the faculty and two more in the immediate vicinity, near the Rectorate building.
Dean Milivoj Alanović yesterday after 3 p.m. called the police to remove students who announced a blockade until Professor Jelena Kleut, who was dismissed, is returned to her job.
In addition to, as students say, receiving a dismissal due to political retaliation because she supported their struggle, the blockade was also announced because of the behavior of Dean Alanović, who did not make any effort to save his colleague from obvious persecution and discrimination that is clear to everyone.
Students emphasize that the dean was not able to at least file an objection to the Senate’s decision not to select Kleut for the position, nor did he appear at that meeting, and that communication with him was unsatisfactory the entire time.
Several students were injured yesterday; the worst affected was a student whose nose was broken by a police officer, while a student and journalist of “Blokade info” suffered bruised ribs.
