A shameful UEFA penalty. How else to describe these double standards shown during sanctions?
Namely, in Katowice, the chant “Kill the Serb” was heard several times from the stands when the young Partizan team defeated Oleksandriia 2:0 in the first leg of their Conference League second qualifying round match.
The Ukrainian club was reported to UEFA, and the Disciplinary Committee decided to fine the Ukrainians €20,000 and impose 500 empty seats in the stadium for their next match, suspended for two years.
This might be acceptable if FK Partizan had not been fined €25,250 for lighting flares in a match against AEK.
The return leg between Partizan and Oleksandriia is scheduled for Thursday at 9:00 PM in Belgrade, and the black-and-whites have called on fans not to cause incidents.
