Members of the so-called Kosovo police raided today the premises of the Public Utility Company “Vodovod Ibar”, which operates under the system of the Republic of Serbia in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
Workers, in the presence of members of the so-called Kosovo police, placed a sign of the Regional Waterworks Mitrovica company at the entrance, reports the Tanjug correspondent.
This company is located in the southern part of the city.
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced that with this act, “Albin Kurti has continued his policy of unilateral and illegal intrusions into Serbian institutions in the north of Kosovo and Metohija.”
The statement adds that since this morning, dozens of police officers have been in front of this public company, which provides utility services to thousands of Serbs, as well as other residents of this city, and employs more than 80 workers for whom the state of Serbia will certainly continue to care.

This is a vital institution of essential importance for the smooth operation of the hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica, kindergartens, and schools, which cannot operate and provide these essential services without water supply.
“Kurti’s perpetrators of dirty work removed the sign with the name of the Serbian Waterworks and are placing a sign with the name of the regional waterworks from the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica in its place, and told the employees that they have a deadline to ‘integrate’ into the Kosovo system. We emphasize that this is not about any ‘parallel institution’ as the authorities in Pristina are trying to spin it, but about a utility company that as such should be part of the Community of Serbian Municipalities, which must also have the competencies to provide utility services, and Kurti knows this very well,” the statement from the Office for KiM reads.
It is also recalled that it has recently been 12 years since Pristina has not formed the CSM, and Kurti, with his actions and statements, daily violates this and all other agreements in full view of the entire international community.
“He showed this today as well, when he is taking unilateral steps while the President of the European Council, António Costa, is visiting Belgrade, which is an obvious provocation towards European officials as well. The Office for KiM will address all relevant international representatives and missions operating in Kosovo and Metohija on this occasion, in order to point out the new unilateral move by the outgoing authorities in Pristina and the violation of existing agreements,” the Office for KiM states.
